

Tina Noonan is an Irish playwright based in Wicklow, Ireland. Her first radio play Leonie Summer’s Night was shortlisted for the RTÉ P J O’Connor Radio Award 2007. Her first stage play The Prodger premiered in the New Theatre, Dublin, in February 2013 and went on to tour Northern Ireland in 2016 as part of NI WW1 centenary commemorations. Her second stage play The 3 Kings (Na Tri Rithe) premiered at Theatre Upstairs, Dublin, in February 2014. Tina’s first commissioned play Glimpses of High Society with Travellers was performed by Southside Travellers Action Group (STAG) at the Lexicon Theatre as part of DLRDCC Festival of Inclusion October 2019. In February 2020 her play The Linen Room was selected for the Abbey 5 x 5 2020 and was performed by residents of Wicklow Town, Direct Provision Centre at The Peacock Theatre, 21 February 2020. Tina then went on to write and direct a short film Under Surveillance, which was performed by residents from the Wicklow Grand Hotel, Direct Provision Centre and was first screened at The Mermaid Theatre, Bray, Co. Wicklow in December 2021 and The Lexicon Theatre, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin in May 2022.
Tina was a finalist in the Kerry International Film Festival 2021 for her Screenplay ‘Broken”. She was also a finalist in the Waterford International Film Festival 2022, for her screenplay ‘The Golden Nugget’.
